So this is awesome! Evidently an angered customer left this voicemail for the Alamo Drafthouse Movie Theater in Austin, TX. So what did the theater do?…
They gave it subtitles, and now use it as a warning to any TEXTERS that they can and will be booted for not following the rules!…

This past weekend I had the pleasure of hanging with Aaron Nace and Avery Carlton the photography team collectively known as THE A-TEAM!!!
They had a cool 3-Day seminar out here in NYC where I had a chance to enhance many of my skills as a photographer and all-round visual artist.
It’s crazy how a week can unravel. One day I’m looking at this posting, and 7 days later I’m learning from one of the coolest couples I’ve ever met.

Make mistakes of ambition, and not mistakes of sloth
The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.
The highest form of sophistication is simplicity.
There’s nothing wrong with using tutorials, but at the end of the day it’s your understanding of theory and interpretation of aesthetics that sets you apart from the crowd.
Hard work is a prison sentence only if it does not have meaning. Once it does, it becomes the kind of thing that makes you grab your wife around the waist and dance a jig.
We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Plugins!
Sometimes as creatives we become stifled by our limitations. Countless times on this journey, I’ve stop short on what might have been a brilliant idea because “I didn’t have this little gizmo”, or “that little gadget”.
At times surfing the internet for “inspiration” can do the exact opposite. Let’s face it, there are a lot of talented people out there who have the gidgets, whats-its, and plug-in’s that we don’t have… right? WRONG!
Take a look at this motion graphics piece by Anders Hattne. With the strict limitations of using Adobe’s After Effects CS4 at it’s bare-bones, Anders produced this mind-blowing audio/visual work. Even the music was composed in-program, and anyone who uses AE can tell you, mastering even its basic audio functions can be an uphill battle!
